Harriet H. "Kiki" George , 88, of Moline, IL, passed away Monday September 30, 2024, at the Kahl Home, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 7th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. The funeral service will be live-streamed and may be viewed at https://vimeo.com/1015340329/f29e2a6f44 or from Harriet's obituary page on vanhoe.com. Interment will be at Moline Memorial Park, Moline, IL. A Rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 6th, at the funeral home with visitation following from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Harriet was born August 29, 1936, in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Harold J. and Bertha E. DeCapp Donahue. She graduated from the former Villa de Chantal, Rock Island. She married James C. George II on September 7, 1968. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2019.
Prior to her retirement she worked at Highland Park Bowling Alley and Mississippi Valley Mobile Home Park.
She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, and former member of Oakwood Country Club, Coal Valley. Kiki was an avid golfer, bowler, bingo player, and Chicago Cubs fan.
Surviving are her children, Becky (David) Duax, Moline, IL, David (Valerie) Johnson, Ormond Beach, FL, Liz (Jack) Driskell, Daytona Beach, FL, Jim (Rachel) George, Middletown, RI, and Chris (Rickie) George, Atlantic City, WY; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren with three on the way; sister, Kathleen Jones, Sarasota, FL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, Harold and Bertha; and brother-in-law, Burwell Jones.
