Funeral services for Harrietta Conklin, 91, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Monday at First Christian Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery, Hampton, IL. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. She died November 19, 2013 at her home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Harrietta Haack was born December 28, 1921, in South Bend, IN, the daughter of Frederick and Ethel Haack. She retired from Deere & Company after 28 years of service. She was a very artistic and strong willed women. Harrietta loved to dance. She had been a member of First Christian Church, East Moline. Survivors include her daughters, Judy (Scotty) Scott, Erie, IL, and Linda Barrett, Arlington, VA; sons, Ronald (Tammy) Annis, Elkhart, IN, Dennis (Patty) Smith, Suprise, AZ, and John (Peggy) Conklin, Lake Worth, FL; daughter-in-law, Janice Conklin, Moline, IL; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Henrietta Montgomery and Loretta Sholtz; and her "main squeeze for 38 years" Ralph Orsi.
