Funeral services for Harry R. Hodgerson Sr., 76, of Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Hodgerson died Friday, April 12, 2013 at Trinity Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Harry was born March 30, 1937 in Brookfield, MO, the son of Robert and Verlena Strickland Hodgerson. He married Laveta Lake January 13, 1957 in Moline. He had worked for Canteen, Moline. He then owned and operated Harry's Star Market, Rock Island. He later worked for D&J Laundry, Moline, and finally for Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips. Harry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Laveta Hodgerson, Moline; daughter, Connie (Dave) Versluys, Moline; sons, Harry (Marianne) Hodgerson, Rock Hall, MD, Edward (Judy) Hodgerson, Moline, Michael (Kris) Hodgerson, Moline, David (Ramona) Hodgerson, Janesville, IA, and Steven (Carol) Hodgerson, Tipp City, OH; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sister, Kathryn (Jake) Moser, Burlington, IA; brother, Harold (Susie) Hodgerson, Fairfield, OH.
