Funeral services for Hartley A. "Hart" Guthrie, 81, of Moline, IL, will be 11:00AM Friday at First Christian Church, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, and one hour prior at the church on Friday. Mr. Guthrie died Monday, May 5, 2014 at his home. Hart was born March 20, 1933, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Hartley and LuLu Belle Parr Guthrie Sr. He married Mary "Mickey" McLean August 16, 1952 at Watertown Baptist Church, East Moline. He had worked for the former Rock Island Millworks, and retired from Lundia, Inc, as a traffic manager. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for 26 years. He enjoyed golf, fishing and had been an avid bowler. He loved his family unconditionally. Survivors include his wife, Mickey; daughters, Chris (Rollie) Wilkerson, Moline, IL and Vicki (Kenny) Butler, Swedona, IL; son, Michael A. Guthrie, San Luis Obispo, CA; grandchildren, Steve (Gina) Williams, Deanna (Jason) Ebert, Shannon (Bo) Rigsby, Jamie (Greg) Hoffpauir, Jessie (Wes) Raes, Kenny Butler Jr., Torrie Butler, and Michael A. Guthrie Jr.; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Marion Richey; his twin brother, William Guthrie. Memorials may be made to the family.
