Hazel V. Huff, 89, of East Moline, IL, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Private burial services will be at held at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Hazel Bradshaw was born August 21, 1924 in Blue Ridge, Georgia, the daughter of M.D. and Minnie Herand Bradshaw. She married Howard E. Dyer December 27, 1945 in Georgia. He died October 7, 1977. She later married Willie Huff November 30, 1991 in Iowa. He died June 17, 2008. At 19 years of age she worked as a welder on the SS Hornet in Washington State. After the war she worked at the Buddy L. Toy Company, East Moline, the East Moline State Hospital, and as a home care provider. Survivors include her sons, James (Terri) Dyer, Moline, IL, Dennis (Sue) Dyer, East Moline, Howard (Cindy) Dyer Jr., Rock Island, and Donald Dyer, Davenport, IA; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren many step-children and step-grandchildren; and a special friend, Linda Campbell. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, Allie Sherlock, brothers, Clinton and J. Vincent Bradshaw.
