Helen R. Brown, 79, Silvis, passed away on July 30, 2013 at her home. Graveside services are 1:30 PM Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend should meet at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline by 1PM. A memorial fund has been established. Helen Wise was born December 6, 1933 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Thomas P and Anna S. (Bell) Wise. She married Fred J. Harker in 1955. He died November 19, 1975. She married Thomas Brown in 1983. He died September 9, 2004. Helen enjoyed playing bingo and her Friday morning breakfasts with the girls. Survivors include her children (spouses), Pamela (Dennis) Stroh, Blue Grass, IA, Thomas D (Beverly) Harker, Hampton, Giles Harker, Moline, Julie (Jeffrey) Moon, DesMoines, IA and John Harker, Moline. Twelve grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, siblings, Wanda Lavine, Rosemary Hassel, Geri Bledsoe, all of Silvis, Grace Haskins, Hampton and Tom Finch, Moline and a sister-in-law Glenda Wise.
