Funeral services for Helen A. Kerckhove, 90, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs Kerckhove died Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Light House, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the East Moline Public Library. Helen was born September 22, 1923, in East Moline, the daughter of Archie and Alida Coussens Van den Berghe. She married Marcel Kerckhove June 19, 1943 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He died January 29, 2004. She and Marcel owned and operated Van den Berghe Agency, East Moline for many years. She had been a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, where she had been an active member of the Ladies Catholic Order of Foresters. She also served as a board member at the East Moline Public Library. Survivors include her daughter, Jean (Paul) Carlson, East Lansing, MI, son, Rich Kerckhove, East Moline; granddaughter, Katherine A. Carlson, Brooklyn, NY; and sister, Agnes (Richard) Gainey, Torrence, CA.
