Funeral services for Helen P. Rasso, 99, of East Moline, IL, will be noon Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:00 pm. Mrs. Rasso died Sunday, September 16, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Helen Perez was born May 22, 1919, in Denver, CO, the daughter of Sostenez and Rufina Perez. She was a graduate of Galesburg High School. She married David Rasso, August 8, 1939. He died October 26, 2014. She worked at the East Moline State Hospital and retired from the Galesburg State Hospital. She and her husband loved living near the river on Campbell's Island and wintering in Arizona. She enjoyed gardening and was a great cook but her real passion was her family.

Survivors include her children, David (Crystal) Rasso Jr., NM, Janet (Jim) Armstrong, Silvis, Michael (Chris) Rasso, East Moline, and Helen (Gene) Davis, Danville, IL; 20 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; son-in-law, Cecil Hernandez, St. Charles, IL; brothers, Jesse (Jovita) Perez, Galesburg, and Richard Perez Springfield, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 75 years; daughter, Rita Hernandez; son, Steve Rasso; sisters, Anita, Marie, and Natalie; brothers, Mateo, Lupe, Frank, John, and Angelo.

Memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church, where she had been a member.
