Funeral services for Helen J. Schneider, 88, of Silvis, IL, will be 11:00AM Tuesday at the Hutten - McElwain Funeral Home, Macon, Mo. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Macon. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL and one hour prior the funeral on Tuesday in Missouri. Mrs. Schneider died Friday, August 5, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice. Helen Bissoux was born September 23, 1922 in Excello, MO, the daughter of George and Myrtle Tumlin Bissoux. She married Russell Schneider March 23, 1941 in Macon, MO. She had worked at the Servus Rubber, Rock Island, and the former AMTEK East Moline. She loved spending time at their home in Lake of the Ozarks, MO, fishing from the dock, cooking, baking pies and hand quilting. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Russell Schneider of Silvis; daughter, Kay (Ed) Lampo of East Moline; sons, Ronald (Dorothy) Schneider of Moline, Gary (Shirley) Schneider of Colona; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
