Funeral services for Helen C. Wingert, 89, East Moline, are 11 AM Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 4-6 PM Wednesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4PM. Mrs. Wingert died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. A memorial fund has been established. Helen Thurston was born November 19, 1918 the daughter of Carl and Grace (Lester) Thurston. She married LeRoy J. Wingert in 1939. He died January 13, 2005. Helen and her husband enjoyed traveling and camping. She loved being with her family especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her son Richard Wingert, East Moline, grandchildren; Jodi Havertape, Tim Wingert, Michelle Adams and Michael Wingert, and 6 great grandchildren.
