Funeral services for Helene M. Vertraete, 90, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation will be 9:00-10:30 AM Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd. East Moline. Mrs. Verstraete died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Illini Restortive Care Center, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, St. Anne Catholic Church, or Parkinson's Research . Helene Lambrecht was born June 14, 1922 in Brussels, Belgium, the daughter of Cyriel and Bertha Goethals Lambrecht. She married Robert Verstraete September 5, 1942 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He died September 30, 2002. Helene was a wonderful giving mother and grandma. She was an amazing cook and loved having family and friends gathered around the table. Helene had a beautiful, warm heart, and a positive attitude and proved to be a fighter. She will be missed beyond words. Survivors include her daughters, Judy (Jim) Williams, Geneseo, IL and Pat (Marvin) Gramling, Cleveland, IL; son, Bob (Ronda) Verstraete, Frisco, TX; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Drobushevich and Gabriella "Gabe" (Dwight) Dopler, East Moline; brothers, Ralph (Dee) Lambrecht, FL, George (Rachel) Lambrecht, East Moline, Albert(Linda) Lambrecht, AZ.
