Henrietta C. Leenknecht, 103, East Moline, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at St. Anthony's Continuing Care, Rock Island. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with a rosary recited at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Parish to have masses said in Henrietta's name. Henrietta Six was born on Oct. 1, 1909, in Moline, the daughter of Ernest and Irma Welvaert Six. She married Frank Leenknecht on Aug. 29, 1929, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Frank died July 21, 1985. She and her husband owned and operated the former East Moline Hardware Store, in downtown, East Moline. She was a member of St. Anne Parish, St. Anne Altar and Rosary Society, and the National Catholic Society of Foresters. She enjoyed playing cards and baking pies. Survivors include children, Marian (Jack) Kettering, Rock Island, and E. Marie Leenknecht, Moline; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; daughter, Dolores Epping; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
