Funeral services for Henry "Bud" McLean, 80, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. McLean passed away peacefully Saturday, September 7, 2013 in East Moline. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, East Moline. Bud was born April 11, 1933 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of John and Mary Murray McLean. He married Darlene Sims March 1, 1952 in East Moline. She preceded him in death on November 4, 1980. He retired from the Rock Island Lines the former Case /IH Plant East Moline, and had been a counselor for RICCA. Bud enjoyed fishing and was an award winning gardener. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed his weekly lunches with his sisters. Bud had a special sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his daughters, Sandi (Ronnie), Mission, TX, Cindy, Rock Island, and Mary (Mike), Moline; grandchildren, Michael (Dani), Jared, Jenny, and Holly; great grandchildren, Mickala, Marisa, Hannah, and Emma; sisters, Marguerite, Silvis, Mary "Mickey" (Hartley), Moline, and Paula "Janey" (Jim), Moline; special friend, John, Rock Island; and all his friends at Morningstar Senior Residences, Moline. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters, Betty, Hazel, Wanda, and Allie Mae "Bootsie".
