Herculano Garcia, 70, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 5-8 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM. A memorial fund has been established. Herculano was born December 2, 1944 in Mexticacan, Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Agustin and Francisca Garcia. He married Linda Alvarado on February 3, 1989. He retired as a machinist from John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline in 2009. Survivors include his wife Linda, children Carrie (Mauro) Cervantes, Tennessee, Shawn (Anna) Garcia, Moline, Marco Antonio (Laura) Garcia, Bettendorf and Jose Octavio Garcia (Lauren Savala), East Moline, eleven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and siblings, Maria Felix, Margarita, Francisca, Maria Esther, Josefina, Miguel, Alfonso, Izidro and Roberto. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mariade and Teresa.
