Graveside services for Herman T. Cook DO, 81, Davenport are 10 AM Monday at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Anyone wishing to attend services should meet at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline at 9:30 AM. Dr. Cook died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center-West, Davenport. A memorial fund has been established. He was born March 5, 1924 in Toler, KY, to Richard and Leota Cook. He married Mary V. Peleates and together they had 4 children. He was an osteopathic doctor in Davenport for over 40 years. Dr. Cook belonged to many organizations throughout the years but found his greatest pleasure in helping people. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include children and spouse; Richard and Joyce Cook, Orion, Mary J. Bloomer, Milan, Janet Lynn Williams, Milan and James H. Cook, Rock Island, grandchildren; Chris Cook, Carrie Porter, Lori DeBailey, Erica Bloomer, Janette Williams and Steven Williams, a great-grandson Kyle DeBailey and a brother Richard G.
