Howard M Goldstein, 88, of East Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. Howard was born August 19, 1929 in Yonkers, New York. He was the youngest of three sons of Nathan and Fanny Goldstein.; He moved to the Quad Cities in the 1950's where he met his loving wife Mary. They were married 62 years. Howard worked in retailing most of his adult life. In the 60's and 70's he managed Lords Jewelers in Moline. He retired from Samuels Jewelers. Howard had a great sense of humor and was well liked by everyone who knew him. Howard is survived by his wife, Mary; his children Nannette (Allen) Doetsch, Nevin (Alice), Nathan, Natalie Roberts, and Norris (Christina); four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his brother Edwin. Howard was preceded in death by his brother, Robert. Memorials may be made to Humility of Mary Shelter in Davenport, Iowa. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
