Howard E. Haskins, 85, East Moline, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his home. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Visitation is 5-8 PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4:30PM. Howard's family encourages the wearing of Cubs and Bears attire to visitation. Entombment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors.

Howard was born July 22, 1933 in Rock Island, the son of Albert and Dorothy (Potter) Haskins. He married Joyce Hunt on April 21, 1956 in East Moline. Howard retired from the former International Harvester Works, East Moline in 1991. He was a US Army Veteran. Howard enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada, golfing and bowling. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Bears fan.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Joyce, children; Katherine (Wayne) Ashenhurst, Lakeland, FL, Michael (Terrie) Haskins, Waunakee, WI, Mark Haskins, East Moline, Daniel (Kim) Haskins, East Moline, John Haskins, East Moline and Jane (Chris) Weber, Antioch, IL, fourteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a brother, Donald (Jean) Haskins, Rock Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Robert, Jerry and Wayne.
