Funeral services for Howard R. Robertson, 63, of Manchester, TN, formerly of Colona, IL, will be 10:30AM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Robertson died Monday November 2, 2009 in Nashville, TN. Memorials may be made to the Colona American Legion. Howard was born March 9, 1946 in Squires, MO, the son of Tommy and Oda Plumb Robertson. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Linda McCullough December 21, 1973 in East Moline, IL. He retired in 1998 from the John Deere Parts Distribution Center, Milan, IL, after 33 years of service. Howard was a kind and gentle man, who knew no stranger. He loved to fish. Survivors include his wife, Linda Robertson of Manchester; daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Brian Cable of Kokomo,IN; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Alyssa Robertson of La Vergne, TN; granddaughter, Madison Cable; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Dennison of Colona, Freda and Robert Burnham of Canton, IL, Cleon Feemster of Colona; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Patty Robertson of Colona.
