Funeral services for Hubert A. "Whitey" Bunch, 73, East Moline are 11 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Bunch died Friday, November 4, 2005 at his home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. He was born December 3, 1931 in Milan, Missouri, the son of Jesse and Temple (Riddle) Bunch. He married Phyllis Cassity, February 19, 1955 in Moline. Whitey worked for 43 years for Alcoa Aluminum, Bettendorf as a crane operator and retiring as a fork lift operator. He was very active in his church, Northcrest Calvary Baptist Church, Moline. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Hubert served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Phyllis, children and spouses Michael and Darbie Bunch, Colona, Janet and Mike Russell, East Moline, Diana and Rick Reel, East Moline, and Kathy and Doug Wiegel, East Moline, grandchildren; Marcus Bunch, Danny Bunch, Jennifer Cline, Trisha Fritz, Tony Russell, Jacob Reel, Jaymie Reel, Alan Wiegel, and Andrea Wiegel, a great granddaughter Emily Cline, step great grandchildren Hailey, Paige and Jamie, and a sister Leona Tuft, Grenada Hills, CA.
