Funeral services for Ina E. Brewers, 88, East Moline, are 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. Ina died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church, where she was a member. Ina Calkins was born January 13, 1919 in Moline, the daughter of Austin and Irah (Lindley) Calkins. She married Emil Scout Brewers on October 13, 1945 in Moline. He died in 1981. Ina had worked as a sales clerk for JC Penney, retiring in 1985. She had been a member of the Svithiod Club, the Moline Viking Club, the East End Boulder's Club and the AMVETS Auxiliary. Ina enjoyed playing cards, gardening, golfing and rolle bolle in earlier years, but most of all being with family. Survivors include her children and spouses Kathleen and Don Crandall, Cary, IL, Michael and Mary Brewers, Moline and Stephen and Joyce Brewers, Jacksonville, IL, grandchildren; Steve Brewers, Karri (Jerry) Cline, and Katie (Adam) Lutostanski, and great grandchildren Alexis and Dylan.
