Funeral services for Inez A. Jacobsen, 89, of Silvis, IL, will be 2:00PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Jacobsen died Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis. Inez Ardis was born October 31, 1926, in Sumter, SC, the daughter of Randolph and Sarah Ardis. She married Dr. Paul H. Jacobsen May 24, 1958, in Oak Park, IL. He died May 27, 2008. Mrs. Jacobsen was one of the original 12 founding members of the Illini Auxiliary. She was a King's Daughter. She had been a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Paula Jacobsen (Dr. Michael Hoerres) Hillsdale, IL; son, Mike (Denise) Jacobsen, Orion, IL; grandchildren, Amanda Hoerres, Rebecca Hoerres, Evan Jacobsen, and Sarah Jacobsen; sister, Elise Ardis, West Columbia, SC; and brother, Jerry Ardis, SC.
