Funeral services for Irene J. Cacari, 94, of East Moline, IL, will be 10 am Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. пї½Visitation will be 4-7 pm Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. A rosary will be recited at 3 pm, with the VFW 8890 Auxiliary following with their service. Mrs. Cacari passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis.

Irene Bonilla was born October 20, 1927, in a boxcar in Silvis. She married Max Cacari January 17, 1948, at Holy Trinity Church, Moline, IL. Irene took care of her mother from 1975 until her passing in 2001 . She had been a very active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and School in East Moline. She was a charter member of the VFW 8890 Auxiliary, where she held several posts. She worked at the Convenient Store on 7th street East Moline for many years. Irene's life revolved around her family, nothing pleased her more than cooking for the entire family with all the grandchildren and great grandchildren together.

Survivors include her children, Benita (Jose) Ramos, East Moline, Lydia Wheeler, Silvis, Judy (Rick) Daniels, Moline, Tina (Joseph) Garcia, Madison, WI, Christopher (Maryanne) Cacari, Davenport, IA; "special daughter", Rosie (Larry) Lawver, Moline; 12 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Fidel "Phil" (Manuela) Bonilla, Silvis; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Max, son, David Cacari; and her sister, Manuela (Albert) Nevarez.
