Funeral services for Irma Kouski, 70, formerly of Moline, are 11 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Kouski died Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Parkview Terrace, East Moline. A memorial fund has been established. Irma Johanson was born March 18, 1936 in Rock Island and raised by her mother and stepfather Eldon and Luella (Freeze) Lawrence. She married James Younts in 1952 and together they had 3 children. She later married Duane Kouski in 1981. He died in 1985. Irma had worked as a hospital Aid, at Black Hawk College, tended bar at Len Browns, Moline and retired from Y&S Candies, Moline. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping and crocheting. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Pam and Thomas Huddleston, Colona, son and daughter-in-law Ron and Laura Younts, Clinton, eight grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brothers Bill Lawrence, AZ, Dale Lawrence, Atkinson, Calvin Lawrence, St. Joe Michigan and Terry Lawrence, FL, half sister Kathy McMeen and half brothers Roger Johanson, Jake Johanson and Bill Johanson. Irma is preceded in death by her husband Duane, her mother and stepfather, her father Joe Johanson, daughter Patricia Gordon and grandson Michael Younts.
