Graveside services for Isaac "Ike" Rangel, 84, of Moline, IL, will be 9am Monday at the Rock Island, National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend should be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline by 8:30 am. Visitation will be 2-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Rangel died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Unity Point, Rock Island, IL.

Ike was born July 17, 1937, in Moline, IL, the son of Isaac and Frances (Olvera) Rangel Sr. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the former Rock Island Lines and retired from John Deere Harvester, East Moline. First and foremost Ike was a Hawkeye Fan. In his younger days he played baseball and helped coach in the Mexican League. He enjoyed playing pool and piks. He was generous to a fault. He loved doting over his granddaughter, Giana.

Survivors include his sons, Chris Rangel, East Moline, Bo Rangel, Moline, Daniel Rangel, Nashville, TN, and Patrick Cervantes, East Moline; grandchildren, Alyssa and Giana; siblings, Paul Rangel, Moline, and Erny Rangel, Moline.

He was preceded in death by his parents; long time companion, Patricia Ann "Patty" Cervantes; siblings, Elvira "Lil" Nache, and David and Joseph "Boss" Rangel.
