Funeral services for Isabelle V. Francis, 98, of Woodridge Supportive Living in Galesburg, IL, formerly of Colona House in East Moline, IL, will be 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Francis died Friday, July 3, 2015, at OSF St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg. Isabelle Rosenberg was born July 23, 1916, in Newstead, NY, the daughter of Homer and Onnolee Hartranft Rosenberg. She married Carl Bero August 4, 1938. He died December 23, 1948. She later married Leo Francis July 12, 1951 in Paullion, NY. He died September 5, 1995. Isabelle loved the outdoors. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, playing cards and bingo, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church, East Moline. Survivors include her daughters, Judith (Virgil) Elson, Beloit, WI, and Susan (Theodore) Hanson, Monmouth, IL; son, Thomas (Sue) Bero, Erie, PA; grandchildren, Tommy (Maureen) Bero, Robert (Stephanie) Bero, Kathy Bero (Jeffery) Sam, Jodi Gile, Kathryn Marie (Phil) Dworak, Bethany (Jered) Longtin, Eric Hanson, and Nicholas Hanson; great grandchildren, Sarah Bero, Jordan and Kaylin Sam, Ainsley Longtin, Addison, Ellie, and Delanie Dworak; and her half brother, Robert Jenks, Akron, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers, Willis and Vernon Rosenberg. Memorials may be made to Woodridge Residents Activity Fund.
