Jacqueline "Jackie" L. Wood , 86, of Colona, IL, passed away Wednesday August 21, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 26th, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family or to Holden Cancer Center, University of Iowa.

Jackie was born May 31, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Edwin and Mildred (Priest) Stanek. She graduated from J.D. Darnell High School, Geneseo. Jackie and Loy Wood were married December 20, 1958, in East Moline, IL.

She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her favorite times were those spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be greatly missed by all.

Jackie was a member of Bethel Church, Rock Island, and the Christian Motorcyclists Association. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, visiting 49 states, motorcycling, bike riding with her grandkids, and collecting cookbooks and salt & pepper shakers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Loy, of Colona; children, Marilyn (Bill) Kutzman, Tamera (Denny) Bartz, and Mylon Wood, all of Colona; grandchildren, Brandon Bartz, Trista Smith, Achiel Lister, Morgan Melford, Ryan Wood, and Ethan Wood; great grandchildren, Izabella, Braxton, Eliza, Paisley, Zuri, and Brayah; sister, Jeannie (David) Rounds, Colona; sister-in-law, Sandy Stanek, Colona; and many nieces, nephews, and special caregiver, Jennifer Poczik.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Mildred; sister, Darlene Batten, twin sister in infancy, Joyce Stanek; and brother, Denny Stanek.
