Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Mital, 75, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Sunday March 29, 2026, at her home in Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Jackie was born June 21, 1950 in Moline, Illinois, to James and Patricia (Bolk) Downing. She graduated from Alleman High School.

She was an agent for Cigna Healthcare for many years and later retired from St. Jude.

Jackie enjoyed crafting, painting, shopping, and playing cards. Her favorite times were those spent with family and friends making memories. She will be missed by all.

Surviving are her sons, Mike (Deborah) Mital, East Moline, and Tony (Bethany) Mital, Rock Island; grandchildren, Drake Moore, Taylor Mital, James Mital, Nicole Mital, Chase Mital and Mason Mital; brother, Chuck (Marcia) Downing, Moline, nieces, Michelle (Sean) Dean, Peoria, IL, and Tricia (Alan) Eaves, Memphis, TN, and their families; and very good friend, Jim Giles.

Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia, and father, James.
