Funeral services for James F. Casey Jr., 60, of East Moline, IL, will be 9:00 AM Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, where a rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. Mr. Casey died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Jim was born February 7, 1945 in Hornell NY, the son of James F. and Theresa May (Ward) Casey Sr. He married Cynthia Rigsby, January 20, 1973 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. He is a graduate of St. Bede Academy, LaSalle/Peru and Illinois State College. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He had worked at Sears, Moline, IL. He was an avid Quad City Mallards fan. Survivors include: his wife, Cynthia Casey and daughter, Kristin Casey both of East Moline, IL; sister, Karen Coogan of Williamsville, NY; the Agnes Rigsby Family; close friends, Mark and Deb Nelson of Moline, IL, Jon Daniels of Florida, Bob Bentley and John Barton of East Moline,IL and the staff of Bentley Hair and Nails of Moline, IL.
