Graveside services for James D. Pierson, 72, of Silvis, IL, will be 1:30 pm Friday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 pm Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home. Mr. Pierson died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at the V.A. Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN. Jim was born September 15, 1943, in Goldsboro, NC, the son of William, and Sarah White Pierson. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Ann Shields February 14, 2014, in Rock Island. He had worked in the Quad City Area as a heating and air conditioning repairman. Survivors include his loving wife, Ann Pierson, Silvis; daughter, Cassandra Pierson, Silvis; grandson, Zachary; brother, David Pierson; and his loving chihuahua, Chi Chi.
