Funeral services for James "Jim" Doud, 82, of Silvis, IL, will be 10 am Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 5-7 Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Doud passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at his home, surrounded by family.

Jim was born October 11, 1939, in Aledo, IL, the son of William "Bill" and Mary (Strachan) Doud. He was a graduate of United Township High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force. On June 10, 1967, he married Mary Jo Danielson, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. They shared most of their lives together in Colona, IL, raising their family and enjoying their grandchildren. Mary Jo passed away October 7, 2021. He retired from Johnson Sheet Metal in 2000, after many years of service.

Survivors include his daughters, Kelli (Fred) Cernetisch, Florence, KY, and Traci (Jeff) Hasson, Geneseo, IL; grandchildren, Owen, Joci, Jarett, Karoline, and Kenzi; and a sister, Alice Wolfe, Carbon Cliff, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; siblings, Mary Louise Sloan, John Doud and Paul Doud; and his brother-in-law, Robert Wolfe.

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona, IL.
