James E. DeLille, 76, of East Moline, IL, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Private family interment will be at a later date. A rosary will be recited 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation following from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

James was born September 14, 1947, in Moline, Illinois, a son of Maurice and Mary Jaecques DeLille. He married Linda A. Veys on June 1, 1968, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, East Moline.

He was employed for many years at Montgomery Elevator, Moline.

Jim was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Saturday breakfast group.

He was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed boating, bowling, and golf. Some of his favorite times were following his grandchildren's activities, spending time with friends and family and on the beach on Anna Maria Island. He will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are his wife, Linda, of East Moline; son, Brian (Andrea) DeLille, Coal Valley, IL; daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Fuller, Coal Valley, IL; grandchildren, Haley DeLille (fiancé, Brandon), Sarah DeLille, Megan DeLille, Brianna Pickett (fiancé, Devan), Trevor Pickett (fiancée, Aliza), Riley Fuller and Jaysea Fuller; great grandchildren, Kole, Khloe, Liam and Leo; sister-in-law, Jean DeLille, Moline, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Richard DeLille.
