Obituary

James Feehan, 89, of Silvis, IL passed away peacefully at IRC Hospice Unit, Silvis. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline from 4 to 6 PM.  Graveside services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, December 28, 2023, at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, with burial following.

James was born December 7, 1934 in East Moline, IL, the child of William and Josephine (Scieszinski) Feehan. He graduated from United Township High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.  He later worked for The East Moline Herald and retired from John Deere Foundry.  He married Nancy Lee Andon at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL.

Jim was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.  He enjoyed playing cards and visiting friends at Little Brown Jug and Eagle's Club in Carbon Cliff.

A special thanks to daughters Joanne Johnson and Jackie Fitch for providing daily care that allowed Dad to remain home until his final days.  Also, thank you Sue Bender for keeping his sweet tooth constantly satisfied, and Marsha Boehm for your years of friendship and phone calls.

Survivors include; children, James (Kyle) Feehan, East Moline, Julie (Larry) Tate, Port Byron, Jana (Tom) Sabel, East Moline, Jacqueline (Rodney) Fitch, Moline, and Joanne (Butch) Johnson, East Moline; grandchildren, Bill (Jennifer) Feehan, John (Marie) Feehan, Bryan (Heather) Feehan, Adam Mortell (Margaret Morton), Andon (Will) Jacob, Kelly Titus, Ryan (Brighid) Titus, John Sabel, Jade Feehan, Joe (Kaylee) Floyd, Ozzie Branch and David Johnson; great grandchildren, Allee Feehan, Connor, Carter and Collin Feehan, Hunter and Gunnar Feehan, Tristan and Finley Jacob, Lena, Julian and Naomi Titus, Jaiden and Peyton Carver and Keagen Berhenke; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bill (Dorothy) Feehan, MaryJo (Don) Ziegler and Patty (John) Hornick.

Memorials may be made St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or your favorite charity.
