James C. Hardin , 62, of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his home.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 12th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment with military honors, presented by East Moline American Legion, Post 227, will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.

James was born October 16, 1961, in Moline, Illinois, a son of Wesley and Credola (Rasmussen) Hardin. He married Lisa Beck on June 1, 2016 in Rock Island, IL.

James was a career U.S. Army veteran, with 28 years of service.

He was an avid MOPAR fan and car collector. He also enjoyed sports and golfing.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa, of East Moline, IL; daughter, Ashleigh Beverly, Sumter, SC; grandson, Ashton Fox, Sumter, SC; sister, Catherine Toland, East Moline, IL; brother, Daniel Hardin, Moline, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Credola; sisters, Elizabeth Webber and Debra Hecker; and brothers, Mike Hardin and John Taylor.
