James C. "Jim" Jannes, 85, of East Moline, IL, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at his home. Private funeral services will be held with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Moline.

A Memorial Visitation/Celebration of Life will be held at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, East Moline, Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 3-5 pm.

Jim was born December 9, 1936, in Moline, IL, the son of Christ and Tasia (Harris) Jannes. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Beloit College and he later earned his MBA.

He retied from NAVISTAR and later Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals. He was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, East Moline.

Survivors include his brother, Nick (Claudette) Jannes, East Moline; nieces and nephews, Andrea (J.P.) Jacobs, Jon (Christine) Jannes, Chris (Jodi) Jannes, Eric (Nancy) Stiegel; great nieces and nephews, Nikolas, Alek, and Ana Jacobs, Madeline and Claudia Jannes, and Sydney and Regan Stiegel.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen (Dr. Kenneth) Stiegel.

Memorials may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church or the East Moline Public Library .
