Obituary

James R. "Jim" Goldasich of Port Byron, IL, died in his home with his wife, Connie, by his side on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

In accordance with Jim's wishes, there will be no services. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, East Moline, IL, or to any Humane Society or pet rescue of your choice.

Jim was born on August 31, 1947, in Hartford, Wisconsin, a son of George V. and Arlene M. (nee Brikner) Goldasich. He graduated from Staunton High School in 1965. Jim served in the USAF from August 1966 through August 1970.He married Connie (Walden) Goldasich on September 16, 1967, in Huntingdon, England.

Jim retired from Alcoa in 2016. Jim was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, East Moline, IL, where he served as an Elder and in many other capacities. He loved his Lord.

Those left behind to honor his memory include his wife, Connie; brothers, Gary (Nancy) Goldasich and Tom (Mary Schmich) Goldasich; brother-in-law, Frank (Judy Hutchins) Walden; niece, Julie Goldasich; nephew, Shane (Scott) Kline-Walden; great nephew, Barrett Kline-Walden; cousins; and sister-in-law, Darlene Walden.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother-in-law, Fred Walden; grandparents; aunts and uncles; and his beloved little Beagle "Bo".
