Funeral services for James Kampe, 77, of East Moline, IL, will be 11 AM Monday April 15, 2024, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Visitation will be 9:30 – 11 AM prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Mr. Kampe passed away Wednesday April 3, 2024, at Blessings Hospital, Quincy, IL.

Jim was born January 22, 1947, in Chicago, IL, the son of Herbert and Catherine Kostecka Kampe. He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces. He married Barbara Eakins March 14, 2001, in Las Vegas, NV. He owned and operated Kampe Vending for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children, Tammy Kinney, CA; Jamie Kampe, East Moline; Keli Kampe, Clinton, and Katherine Kampe, WI; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and brother, Frank Kampe, Olney, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
