James J. Loete, 80, of Clovis, CA, died on Monday, December 4, 2023, in Clovis, after a two-year battle with cancer.

In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned at this time.

He was born on July 26, 1943, to the late Clement J. and Celina (Loontjens) Loete. He graduated from Alleman High School in 1961 and from Iowa State College in 1967. He was superintendent of maintenance at Alcoa for many years. He married Viki Dorman on May 28, 1966.

Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Viki; sons, Jeff (Cari) and Jason Loete; grandchildren, Joshua (Christine) Loete, Katelyn (Jon) Yocum; great grandchildren, Skyleigh and Ember Leigh Yocum; sisters, Jean Anderson (his twin), Wisconsin, Janice (Paul) Palgut, Michigan, and Joyce Hall, East Moline; brother, John (Mary) Loete, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

James will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all.
