James Passini, 84, Moline, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Funeral services are 10 AM Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 2-5PM Sunday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 1:30PM. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Church or to Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities. Jim was born February 13, 1928 in Ottawa, IL, the son of James and Florence (Haff) Passini. He graduated from UTHS in 1947. He married Shirley Termont on June 26, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Moline. He retired as Sales Manager from Wonder Bread/ Hostess Cake, Davenport after 31 years. He enjoyed the game of golf, time with his grandchildren and the family's Florida home. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Shirley, children and spouses, Dennis and Jan Passini, Coal Valley, Dean Passini, Moline, Dianne and Dan Leonard, DesMoines, IA, Doug and Lynn, East Moline, Dale and Sherri Passini, Moline and David and Isabelle Passini, Swanton, Vermont, fifteen grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Paul, Florence, Jack and Sharon.
