James "Jimmy" Riley, 55, East Moline, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019, at his home.

Despite his wish to have his body dumped in a hole, a celebration of his life will be held in his garage on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Jim, a die hard Chicago Cubs fan, was full of charisma and enjoyed making jokes while spending time with family and friends.

James was born in Moline, IL., on November 1, 1963, a son of William Riley and Donna (Schoonover) Riley. James graduated from United Township High School in 1981. He married Vicki Gomez and later Julia Nelson. Jim worked at Cobham in Davenport for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Riley and his children; Hali Riley, New York, NY, Colin Riley, Davenport, IA, Mitchell Riley, Iowa City, IA, Austin Riley, Macomb, IL; brother Michael Riley, Fort Myers, FL; sister Kelly (Dan) Breitenstein, East Moline, IL. and his first wife, Vicki Gomez, Moline, Il.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Aunt Judy; and his furbabies: Mickey and Kerry.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
