James Robbins Sr., 88, Silvis, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 5, 2018. Funeral services are 11 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jim was born March 10, 1930 in Greensburg, IN, the son of John and Mildred (Foreman) Robbins. He married Deloris J. Ricke on April 22, 1955 in Greensburg. She died September 23, 2010. Jim worked at Roadway retired as a supervisor from John Deere Foundry. He was a jack of all trades was always available to help others in need. He was a devoted member of St. Anne Catholic Church, the Knight's of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and the Korean War Veterans. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the East Moline American Legion post 227. Jim served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his children, Cynthia (Michael) Gano, Andalusia, and James Robbins Jr., Silvis, grandchildren, Miranda (John) Fonger, Travis (Jaime) Graves, Brittany Robbins, Colton (Blake) Graves, and Scott Gano and great grandchildren, Hailey, Brynn and Rowen.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, daughter ReBecca Graves and siblings, Bob, Dale and Bettie.
