IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Jim"
Vermeire
August 20, 1965 – January 29, 2023
James R. "Jim" Vermeire, 57, of East Moline, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, January 29, 2023. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 4-8 pm at the Heritage Center, Hampton, IL.
Jim was born August 20, 1965, in Moline, IL, the son of Robert and Marian Sevenandt Vermeire.
He married Holly Barr November 13, 1999, in Rock Island. He was currently working at Arconic Inc, Riverdale, IA.
Jim was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was hardworking, generous and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He loved the outdoors, quad riding and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Jim had a quick wit and his laugh, jokes and stories will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. He was affectionately known by his close circle of family and friends as "Ronnie". He was not one for long goodbyes or fanfare and if he had the chance to write this himself, he would have simply said:
"Ronnie Out"
As we tearfully say goodbye, we are comforted by the thought that many are shouting a joyous hello with long awaited open arms.
Rest easy sweetheart, your work here is done, but what a fine job you did.
