James Watson, 51, of Silvis IL, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at his home. Private graveside services will be held Friday. Family and friends are invited to attend a "gathering" at Parkside Bar & Grill, Moline, IL for a celebration of James' life on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers and gifts a memorial fund has been established for James' daughters, at THE National Bank. James was born November 28, 1958 in Kirksville, MO, the son of Ralph and Mary Richardson Watson. He married Cherri Jo Allen April 12, 1977 in Milan, IL. They later divorced. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Amanda and Lee Rottman of Coal Valley, IL, Angel Watson of East Moline, Briana McCracken of East Moline; grandchildren, Brandon and Destiny Rottman of Coal Valley; the mother of James' two younger daughters, Patty Lampe of East Moline, sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Tom Ford of Moline, IL, Bonnie and James Rathburn of East Moline, Kathy and John Carlson of Skamokama, WA, Sherry Ralston of Colona; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Harriette Watson of Coal Valley, Ralph and Julia Watson of Colona, IL, Clarence and Betty Watson of East Moline, IL, Joseph Watson of East Moline. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Dean Watson, niece Robin Watson.
