James R. Williams Jr., 82, Silvis, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass in the St. Damien Center of the church.  Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.  Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline is assisting the family with services.  Memorials may be made to the family.

James was born on December 24, 1942, in Moline, the son of James and Ikela (Dhooge) Williams Sr.  He married Patricia Loontiens on February 19, 1966.  James worked as a plumber for the Local Union 25 Plumbers and Pipefitters.  He enjoyed fishing, playing euchre, and his Saturday morning breakfast with his grandchildren.

James is survived by his spouse, Patricia Williams; sons, Greg Williams and Michael Williams; grandchildren, Cameron, Anthony (Kanieca) and Alex; and great granddaughter, Lillith.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jimmy Williams III.
