Funeral services for James "Jim" Robert "Bob" Young, 83, of Campbell's Island East Moline, IL, will be 1:30PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 3:30-6:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Bob was born October 17, 1925 in Hillsboro, TX, the son of Troy W. and Flossie (Davis) Young. He married Mildred в??Millie" (Scotton) Bashford July 4, 1964 at South Moline Baptist Church, Moline, IL. He retired from the former International Harvester Farmal Plant, Rock Island, IL in 1986 after 28 years of service. He had been a die hard Chicago Cubs Fan. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage fixing things and spending time in his vegetable garden. He loved his dog "Okey". Survivors include: his wife, Millie Young of East Moline; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue "Carolyn" Prine of Cambridge, IL, Shari and Joe Bottoms of Clinton, IA, Janice and Mike Peterson of Hillsdale, IL; son, Willie "Bill" Young of Burleson, TX; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Bud Cline of TX, Ruby Cutler of TX; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Joyce Davis of Sherrard, IL.
