Jane E. Anderson , 62, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Jane's life for family and friends will be held at The Keg, East Moline, from 12:00 PM (noon) to 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 5th. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to any local animal shelter.

Jane was born May 21, 1962, a daughter of Earl and Ruth (Caulkins) Anderson. She was previously married to Daniel L. Adams and later to Scott W. Symons.

Jane was a food server and bartender for many years at several local restaurants, lastly at the Coal Creek Inn, Coal Valley, IL.

She enjoyed collecting Elephants, and was known to many as the "Sun Queen". Some of Jane's favorite times were those spent with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her sons, Alexander Charles Anderson, Kansas City, MO, and Justin Daniel Adams, Moline, IL; grandchildren, Elania Ruth Adams and Cory Adams; sister, Jan Stineman, Milan, IL; brother, Jim (Babette) Anderson, McFarland, WI; numerous nieces, nephews, other family; and numerous close and lifetime friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ruth; and her brother, Earl "Joe" Anderson.
