Jane Elizabeth Bailey, 64, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Unity Point, Rock Island, IL. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Thursday March 6, 2025, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.

Jane Winthurst was born October 6,1960, to William and Shirley Taulbee Winthurst. She was a graduate of United Township High School, Class of 1978. She married Jerry Dean Bailey June 25, 1981, they later divorced.

Jane began working for Canteen Corp. of America in early 1980. She started working for Alcoa in June 2001.  She was a lead operator and heavily involved with the Steelworkers Union, retiring in June 2022.

Jane, ever changing and exploring, was always ready for a new adventure especially to anyone that knew her from past to present. She was an avid racing fan. You would find her track side cheering on her son or even watching NASCAR on tv.  She also loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed showing her creative side by making her custom vinyl and wood crafts, bowling, golfing, fishing, cooking, traveling, trying her luck at the casino, spending time with her friends, seeing her grandchildren, and taking care of her beloved dog, Bandit.

Survivors include her sons, Steve (Teresa) Bailey, Blue Grass, IA, and Jerry ( Kat) Bailey, Moline; granddaughter Teagan Bailey; grandson Dean Bailey; Lissa Bailey, Brett (Brooke) Bailey, Alyssa (Brian) Hoener, Brody, Ansley, Bayne.

She is proceeded in death by, her parents; brother, William Blain Winthurst; her brother-in-law Todd Bailey and her very dear friend Skip McGill.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family.
