Funeral services for Jane E. Robinson, 88, of East Moline, will be 10:00 am Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Robinson died Friday, November 9, 2018, at UnityPoint, Rock Island. Jane Lawyer was born October 4, 1930, in Columbus, OH, the daughter of Jay and Grace Earnhart Lawyer. She married James Robinson September 12, 1953 in East Moline. He died August 22, 2015. She was a graduate of Capital University, Columbus. She taught school in Cincinnati, OH, before moving to the Quad City area. She was a substitute teacher at George O. Barr Elementary and Silvis Junior High. She was active in the PTA both in Silvis and United Township High School. She was also active in the Republican Party and had served as a Precinct Committeewoman, in Rock Island County. She loved to read and travel. Survivors include sons, Bill (Sharon) Robinson, Macomb, IL, and Jay Robinson, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Tammy Robinson, Angie Louden, and Ryan Robinson; 8 great grandchildren: brother-in-law, Richard Buchseib, Cambridge, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Beatrice "BeBe" Buchseib. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Research or the family.
