Janet Ruth Dravis, 87, of East Moline, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Park Vista Retirement Living, East Moline, where she had been a resident.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, private funeral services will be held. Interment is at the Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, East Moline. The funeral will be live-streamed 10:00AM Thursday, January 21, 2021 at

Janet was born June 23, 1933, the daughter of Dr. Clifford and Althea (Opfer) Harrison in Waukon, Iowa. She graduated from Waukon High School and the American Institute of Commerce in Davenport. She married Robert Al Dravis, August 8, 1954 in Waukon. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2021.

She worked at Deere & Co. until their daughter, Susan was born and then became a homemaker. In later years, she worked in the office of the First Presbyterian Church of East Moline. She sang in the choir for many years, served as a Deacon and on many committees at the Church.

She and her husband volunteered as tutors for second graders in an East Moline grade school. She also volunteered at Illini Hospital.

Janet was an avid reader and piano player. She attended Quad City Symphony concerts for over 40 years. She and her husband and daughter enjoyed traveling together. She always felt so blessed to have her husband, Bob and daughter, Sue.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Dravis, Dubuque, IA; sister, Irene (Norman) Fiet, AZ; niece, Mary Lou (Joe) Dravis-Hott, AR; and nephew, Kevin Fiet, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband who died 11 days prior to her passing.
