Janet K. Neff, 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, in Silvis, IL surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 9, 1944, in Excelsior, MO, she was the daughter of James and Margie Powell Evans. Janet was a 1962 graduate from United Township High School. On April 20, 1963, she married the love of her life, Lawrence Neff. They went on to build a beautiful life together.

Janet played a significant role for the East Moline School District. She retired in 2006 after 27 years of service. She also served on the East Moline School Board for 11 years, 8 of which she served as president. To know Janet was to love her. She was a talented pianist who shared her gift for 41 years by playing at church, school programs, and special events. Janet was known for her large collection of Isabel Bloom. Her most favorite pastime was spending time with her family and grandchildren. Two of the sweetest words to Janet were, "Hey, Nana".

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at The Rock, 302 1st Street, Coal Valley, IL.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Larry; sons, Brian (Susan) Neff, Brad (Bridget) Neff, and James Neff; 11 grandchildren, Kailey (Stephen) Dean, Merideth, Kerrigan, Caleb, Briley, Brooklyn, Braeden, Chase, Gage, Rahil, and Kas; 4 great grandchildren, Stella, Callie, Lorelei, and August; nephew, Jeremy Taylor; Niece, Jessica (Benjie) Gray; great-nephew, Carson; and great-niece, Tamika.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Evans; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and David Taylor.
