Funeral services for Janet Kay Lopez, 54, Moline, are 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline. Inurnment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Janet died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Janet Allcock was born June 23, 1954 in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Brooks and Ruby (Ragsdale) Allcock. She married John Lopez on April 8, 1975, in Rock Island. Janet graduated from Trinity School of Nursing. She had worked as a nurse but preferred taking care of her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spoiling the little ones. She enjoyed camping and fishing, and was an excellent cook. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, John; her children; Jennifer Rolls of Sand Springs, Okla., Joni Lopez of Rock Island, Jill and Eric Stalf of Moline, John Robert Lopez, Moline, and Joseph Lopez of Moline, grandchildren; Sarah, Caleb, Alexis, Miah, Lindsey, Carrie, Zach, Autumn and Ellen, sisters and brothers-in-law; Connie and Greg McCurley, St. Joseph, Mo., LaLonna and Ron Edwards, Mich., LaDonna Dufer of Milan, and Delores and Curnie "Bing" Hendrickson of Milan, a brother Donnie Allcock of East Moline and numerous nieces and nephews and an adopted son Danny Blaser.
